About 4 years ago with a single 3D printer and an office crammed into his bedroom, Rob Martin had a vision of spreading 3D printers and other open source technologies into classroom’s around the world. With less than $500 to his name, he filed to create Open Source Classroom, LLC and was officially recognized by the State of Illinois as a legitimate Limited Liability Corporation in September of 2013.
Shortly after in November of 2013, Martin entered Open Source Classroom, LLC into a student entrepreneurship competition called StartUp ISU and garnered 1st prize. This video documentary was put together by the folks at ISU and since we are now celebrating our 4 year anniversary, it seemed appropriate to share a video showing how far we’ve come in the past 4 years.
We couldn’t have done it without all the help we have received from teachers and administrators around the country who have helped us build Open Source Classroom, LLC into the leading educational provider for 3D Printing professional development. We thank you and hope that you enjoy this throwback video!!!
