The 3D CAD Design for 3D Printing workshops are designed to help expand and strengthen your knowledge and confidence with utilizing 3D CAD software for 3D printing projects. Proficient knowledge of basic use of 3D CAD software allows anyone to create innovative 3D printing activities. The variety of 3D CAD Design workshops focus on basic software functions, part development/design strategies for optimal 3D printing, and suggestive methods to measure progress in learning how to solve technical problems using 3D CAD design software. These workshops will provide you with the skills you need to create cutting-edge learning opportunities for your students.
3D CAD Design Professional Development Workshops
Autodesk Inventor Level I focuses on the basic fundamentals of how to utilize the software. Throughout the workshop you will learn how to navigate through the software and the process for part modeling. We will discuss teaching techniques while going through a variety of exercises. We will also introduce how to create project to organize related files, drafting prints and a variety of ways to gauge a students progress.
Autodesk Inventor Level II introduces some more complex capabilities of 3D CAD software and creates much more opportunities for educators to create their own cirricula. Throughout the workshop we will learn how to digitally assemble parts together for conceptual and stress-analysis purposes. We will also learn the process of creating multi-part assembly instructions including pictorial presentation, written instructions, and creating part lists.
